Will Tony Wroten say yes to Washington?

wroten_rise.jpg
We’re about 20 minutes from Tony Wroten’s big decision. The Huskies already received a bit of blow today when five-star recruit Jabari Brown picked Oregon over UW. Soon we’ll discover if Washington can salvage a split or will they go 0-for-2 today.
ESPN Rise plastered Wroten on the Northwest regional cover of its magazine this month.
Check out the headline: “Put on for my city Tony Wroten Jr. reps Seattle”
Granted Wroten didn’t write that headline, however, it’s difficult to believe someone who feels as strongly as he does about Seattle will leave the Emerald City for greener (notice the pun) pastures in Louisville or Connecticut or Villanova. Seattle University is the other school Wroten is considering.
You can watch a live streaming video of the 3 p.m. announcement on our website and Times preps reporter Mason Kelley is covering the event and will chime in frequently with updates on his blog and Twitter account.
