John Calipari says UW “appears on tape to be superior”

Courtside watching the Michigan State-Connecticut game and came across this story by the Lexington Courier-Journal, which caught up with Kentucky coach John Calipari this morning.
While accessing No. 13 Washington, Calipari said: “Wow, they’re good. They’re big, they’re strong, they’re veteran, they shoot it. It’ll be a tough challenge for us, a young team in this kind of environment. They really try to maul you.”
Calipari based his observations UW’s 106-63 dismantling of Virginia on Monday.
He said UW is “an opponent that appears on tape to be superior.”
Calipari also said freshman forward Terrence Jones, who reneged on a verbal commitment to UW, will have to play physical against the Huskies.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
— The Huskies got a win before tonight’s game when Virginia bounced back from last night’s 43-point defeat to UW and beat Oklahoma 74-56 in a Maui Invitational consolation game.
— Today’s UW-UK game is getting a lot of attention. Gary Parrish at CBSsports.com offers his take.
