Pac-10 Picks, Friday afternoon links: Great Romar interview

If you’re a Lorenzo Romar fan and enjoy listening to the Washington coach spin stories from his past, then you’ll love his interview with KJR’s Mitch Levy. It’s a fantastic conversation.
Levy takes a this-is-your-life approach and digs deep into Romar’s past. For a minute I thought Levy was going to surprise Romar with a guest appearance from his high school coach.
I thought I knew Romar, but I learned a lot from this interview. For instance, did you know he was on the first team that played against Michigan’s legendary Fab Five? You’ll never guess how many points he scored.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
— It’s unlikely Washington and Texas A&M will meet again this season, but if somehow they’re paired against each other in the postseason, then Ken Pomeroy believes the Huskies will be overwhelming favorite in the rematch.
— 2013 recruit Jabari Parker, who is ranked as the No 2 player at small forward and 6th overall by ESPN, has UW, Kansas, Georgetown, Illinois and Michigan State in his top five schools.
— Sounds like former UW Husky star Brandon Roy has a beef with teammate Andre Miller. Roy will miss the next three games because of sore left knee.
TONIGHT’S GAMES (times PST):
Oregon at Virginia, 5 p.m.
Arizona State at Nevada, 6 p.m. (ESPNU)
Picks:Virginia and ASU
Record: 52-19
