Arizona’s Derrick Williams wins Pac-10 POW

Arizona sophomore forward Derrick Williams won the Pac-10 Player of the Week award after scoring a career-high tying 31 points and collecting 10 rebounds in an 80-69 win at home over cross-state rival Arizona State.
He connected on 66.7 percent of his field goals (8-of-12) and 93.8 percent (15-of-16) of his free throws. He also had two assists and one steal.
It’s the second time Williams has won the award this season.
Also Nominated: UW’s Isaiah Thomas, California’s Allen Crabbe, Oregon State’s Jared Cunningham, Stanford’s Josh Owens, UCLA’s Malcolm Lee and Washington State’s Klay Thompson.
