Washington and Arizona connected in many ways

Washington’s defeat last night caused the Huskies to fall two spots in the Associated Press poll to No. 20 and two spots in the ESPN/USA Today coaches rankings to No. 19.
Arizona landed in the top 25 of both polls. The Wildcats are No. 21 and 22 respectively.
Washington and Arizona are tied at the top of the Pac-10 standings.
Washington’s ranks 25th in the RPI rankings and Arizona is 22.
In other news: Arizona sophomore guard Lamont Jones won the Pac-10 Player of the Week award. He scored 17 points in each of the Wildcats wins against UCLA and USC.
It’s the fifth straight week a player form Washington or Arizona has won the award.
