ESPN’s Joe Lunardi says UW is a No. 7 seed in NCAA tourney

Made the drive from Phoenix to Tucson, Ariz. and got a few minutes to post some links before practice.
After last night’s 79-62 win at Arizona State, I asked Washington coach Lorenzo Romar how long he would enjoy the win and his answer wasn’t surprising.
“This one’s over,” he said. “Going at and trying to get prepared for this Arizona game.”

Jerry Brewer takes a close look at C.J. Wilcox and writes: “You never know what’s going on inside of his head. You’re left to judge him solely on the purity of his jump shot, and when that beautiful stroke is acting right, you can’t say much other than “wow,” either.”
— Despite losing 11 straight Pac-10 games, ASU coach Herb Sendek remains optimistic.
— Arizona extended it’s winning streak to 16 at McKale Center with a 79-62 win last night over Washington State.
Huge defeat for the Cougars, whose NCAA tournament hopes took a big hit. Klay Thompson scored 30 points last night.
— Virtually no change in the Pac-10 standings.
Maurice Jones scored 22 points and Nikola Vucevic added 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead USC to a 78-75 win at California.
— The defending champion Golden Bears were officially eliminated from the Pac-10 title race.
— UCLA continues to roll along. The Bruins won 69-65 at Stanford remain a 1/2 game ahead of UW in the conference standings.
Jeremy Green scored 27 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Stanford from losing and being eliminated from the Pac-10 title race.
— ESPN’s Joe Lunardi unveils his latest look at the NCAA tournament bracket. He has Washington as a No. 7 seed in the East bracket playing No. 10 Cincinnati. Arizona is a No. 5 seed and UCLA is No. 8.
