UW needs favorites to win conference tournaments this week

Gonzaga won the WCC Tournament last night and the Bulldogs are the latest to secure an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.
So far eight teams are in.
The list includes: Belmont, UNC-Asheville, Old Dominion, St. Peter’s, Indiana State, Morehead State and Wofford.
TUESDAY MORNING LINKS:
— In the last 24 hours, Washington slipped one spot to a No. 10 seed among the averages of 79 NCAA tournament projections.
— Funny line from Jerry Brewer today: “If Matthew Bryan-Amaning misses one more bunny, he might provoke universal destruction.
OK, maybe not universal destruction, but distressed, purple-robed fans might conspire to create a seismic reaction just as powerful as Marshawn Lynch’s Beast Quake. This one, of course, would be considerably less inspiring.”
C.J. Wilcox needs lots of help in an ESPN.com poll.
— UCLA is still waiting to see if guard Malcolm Lee will be able to play this week.
— Arizona took the top prizes when the Pac-10 doled out postseason awards.
— What in the world is going on in Corvallis, Ore.? Coach Craig Robinson suspended nine players from Saturday’s regular-season finale and had just six available players. OSU plays Stanford tomorrow.
Gary Parrish at CBSSports.com submits his final list of 20 nominees for the Wooden award and he includes just one Pac-10 Player: Arizona’s Derrick Williams.
— The Big East Tournament begins today and analysts believe 10 of the 16 teams will play next week in the NCAA tournament.
