ISAIAH THOMAS:
(On the NCAA tournament) “It feels a lot different. More is at stake. It’s win or go home now. … it’s a lot different. guys have tog to know that every possession counts. … The bright lights are on now.”
(How many times have he seen last week’s buzzer beater) “I’ve watched mine probably a 1,000 times. … I’ve watched mine a few times.”
(Comparison to Isiah Thomas) “People compare us even though we’re different players.”
(Do you like having Venoy Overton here to get a break) “I would love to play 40 minutes again. venoy makes it so much easier for me especially when I’m tired.
LORENZO ROMAR:
(On Georgia) “They’re physical in the paint. They’re more than capable of competing with any team. … We know we have a tough opponent that’s for sure.”
(Logistics in flying so far in the NCAA tournament) “We’ve been inconsistent this year. … Maybe if we’d done a little better job in our season maybe we wouldn’t have had to fly so far. We’ve made our bed.”
(On the small lineup) “If we remain to go small, maybe our quickness will benefit us.”
(Little man in college basketball) “He not only scored, he assisted, he rebounded and he dove on the floor. He willed his team to a championship. … When you get out there on the floor, you’re playing basketball. The ones that can play, height doesn’t matter.”
