Tony Wroten Jr. runs the fastest 100M this year in the state

The text arrived last night and I almost didn’t believe it until going online and reading the results.
Tony Wroten Jr. ran the 100 meters in 10.78 seconds Thursday at the SW Athletic Complex in West Seattle. I’m told its the fastest time this year in the state.
The Huskies knew they were getting an amazing athlete in Wroten, a 6-foot-5 guard with extraordinary passing skills. He starred in basketball. He also made an attempt to play receiver as a junior before tearing his right ACL in the season opener.
Wroten sat out of athletics the rest of the school year.
There was lingering doubt if he had fully recovered from the knee injury. If Thursday’s clocking is any indication, those concerns were unwarranted.
