Four teams dominate Pac-12 preseason picks

Most college basketball observers believe it’s a four-team race for the Pac-12 title. The early consensus has Arizona, California, UCLA and Washington – not exactly in that order – at the top of the conference.
Here’s a look at four preseason picks with national rankings in parenthesis.

Judging from this collection of picks, Arizona is tabbed to repeat as conference champions while Cal is second, UCLA third and UW fourth.
Bruce Pascoe at the Arizona Daily Star is the latest to release preseason picks. He describes sophomore Terrence Ross as a “budding star” and said “if the Huskies work through a big transition well, they can challenge for the league title.”

— Plenty of good information from Pascoe recently. Arizona is a likely candidate to face Connecticut in the 2012 Carrier Classic, which is be played on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 9, 2012 on an active aircraft carrier.
Diamond Leung at ESPN gives a wrap-up of the Pac-12 offseason and takes a look at several games to watch. He includes Washington’s trip to New York with games against Marquette and Duke.
