Tracking the Pac-12’s 2012 verbal commitments

Stanford and Utah were the latest Pac-12 teams to pick up 2012 verbal commitments.
The Cardinal corralled Christian Sanders, a 6 foot 3 shooting guard from Houston, who is a consensus three-star prospect, according to the major recruiting services.
Utah added Josh Hearlihy, a 6-7 forward from North Hollywood, Calif., to a 2012 class that includes 6-6 forward Jordan Loveridge.
Arizona and UCLA have received national acclaim for their three-man classes. They rank No. 1 and 2 in the country respectively, according to ESPN. Rivals has UCLA at No. 3 and Arizona four.
On a related note, Arizona State received a verbal commitment from high school sophomore Kodi Justice. The 6-5 guard will enroll in 2014. Justice seems a little young, but more schools are locking up kids at an early age.
Washington is still seeking its first 2012 verbal commitment. The Huskies hosted Demarquise Johnson this weekend. Mark Knight at Husky Haul caught up with him and the 6-5 shooting guard said he enjoyed his visit, especially playing a pickup game with current UW players and a handful of local NBA stars including Spencer Hawes, Isaiah Thomas, Quincy Pondexter and Jamal Crawford.
Here’s a list of the Pac-12 verbal commitments.
