2011-12 preseason Pac-12 basketball prospectus

Plenty of good information in the 2011-12 preseason Pac-12 men’s basketball prospectus, which is composed by the conference.
Here’s a few interesting points:
— Last year, conference rosters included a total of just 17 seniors. This year, 39 seniors grace the Pac-12 rosters. UCLA leads the league with seven while Arizona and Oregon each have five.
— The conference gives a look the unbalanced schedule. It’s difficult to determine with any certainty before the season, but it appears as if Oregon and Oregon State are the lucky winners. The Ducks and Beavers miss the difficult road trip to Los Angeles. They also play defending champion Arizona just once.

— The Pac-12’s top seven scorers are gone, including the top four who were NBA draft picks.
— The conference is also missing eight of last season’s top nine rebounders.
— UCLA coach Ben Howland needs three conference wins to reach 100 league victories, while Washington coach Lorenzo Romar needs five. Only 20 coaches in Pac-12 history have reached the milestone.
