Tony Wroten Jr. undergoes right knee surgery

Less than a week after senior guard Scott Suggs had right foot surgery, Washington freshman guard Tony Wroten Jr. underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on his right knee today, the school announced.
Coach Lorenzo Romar said in a UW release he expects Wroten will return in time for the regular season.
“Tony could have probably gone the whole season with a little discomfort at times and played through this,” Romar in the release. “But he and his family, plus our staff, thought it would be better to take care of this now so he would be fine for the rest of the year.
“It has been nagging him a little bit, but he’ll be ready to go in no time soon.”
The school is categorizing the surgery as a “minor procedure” and Wroten is aiming to play in the Nov. 4 exhibition against Seattle Pacific.
