Video: Highlights of UW’s exhibiton win over Seattle Pacific

Thanks to Patrick Blair for producing the highlights.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
— Let’s start with our story on the game. Times photographer Dean Rutz and GoHuskies.com provide photo galleries.
— Here’s the official box score and video of the post-game press conference with Abdul Gaddy, C.J. Wilcox, Tony Wroten Jr. and coach Lorenzo Romar.
Scott Johnson at the Everett Herald, Ryan Divish at the News Tribune and Jason McCleary at MyNorthwest.com also give their perspective on the exhibition.
— Washington senior forward Darnell Gant has been selected as one of 30 candidates for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, which encourages student-athletes to use their platform in athletics to positively impact their communities.
Bill Oram at the Salt Lake Tribune writes: “The Larry Krystkowiak Era starts with a thud, though the final 11 seconds of the exhibition — if any of it — will be remembered.” The Utes lost 61-60 at home in an exhibition to Division II Adams State.
— Oregon State breezed to a 64-33 win over Pacific (Ore.) last night. Here’s the box score. The Beavers started junior Jared Cunningham and sophomore Ahmad Starks at guard, junior Joe Burton and sophomore Devon Collier at forward and junior Angus Brandt at center.
— Washington State’s Faisal Aden (concussion) won’t play and Reggie Moore (groin) is listed as doubtful for today’s exhibition against Lewis-Clark State. The Cougars will have a thin, banged up lineup. Forward Brock Motum suffered a groin injury last Sunday, but should play today.
— Arizona State is playing an exhibition tonight at Grand Canyon because the Antelopes are opening a new basketball facility and GC coach Russ Pennell asked ASU coach Herb Sendek for a favor. The Sun Devils needed to petition the NCAA for a waiver to play at the Division II school.
Stanford plays Division II Ryerson tonight in an exhibition.
— Arizona may have junior guard Kevin Parrom, who is recovering from gunshot wounds, back earlier than predicted. The new target date is Nov. 17-18 when the Wildcats play in the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden.
Ken Pomeroy released his rankings this week and he has Washington at No. 40.
— And finally, here’s a guide to the 2011-12 college basketball season.
