Reeves Nelson misses UCLA’s flight to Hawaii

Seriously Reeves Nelson? Really?
After being reinstated from a one-game suspension, the UCLA forward missed a team bus to the Los Angeles international airport and the Bruins flight to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Nelson made it to Hawaii, but coach Ben Howland didn’t say if he plans discipline the enigmatic junior for his latest transgression.
“He understands it doesn’t look good,” Howland told the Los Angeles Times.
It appears Nelson has a habit of being tardy. He was late for a team meeting last week, which prompted the one-game, two-day suspension, Howland said.
AROUND THE PAC-12:
Faisal Aden scores a season-high 21 points to lift Washington State to a 83-73 win at Portland. The Cougars (2-1) also received 13 points from Brock Motum and 11 from backup point guard DaVonte Lacy. Reggie Moore chipped in eight assists, six points and six rebounds before fouling out after 33 minutes.
— Playing without freshman Jabari Brown, who quit the team, Oregon (2-1) relied on a trio of upperclassmen in an 86-61 win over Southeast Missouri State. Junior forward E.J. Singler scored a game-high 21 points and seven rebounds, senior guard Garrett Sim had 14 points and five assists and senior reserve Jeremy Jacob had 10 points and seven rebounds.
Colorado proved it could win without leading scorer Andre Roberson, who sat out most of Sunday’s game due to foul trouble. No worries. The Buffaloes (2-2) still managed to beat Western Michigan 81-76 led by Carlon Brown (23 points) and Austin Dufault (16) in the seventh-place game of the Puerot Rico Tip-Off.
