Video: Nevada coach David Carter, Wolf Pack players

Nevada coach David Carter and Wolf Pack players Deonte Burton and Malik Story met with the local media in Reno this afternoon.
A lot of the discussion was about Friday’s game against Washington and last year’s 90-60 UW win at Edmundson Pavilion.
Here’s the video link of Carter who said “you just don’t want to get embarrassed like we did last year.”
“Washington is a very good team, they’re a very experienced team,” he said. “Just because you’re at home it doesn’t guarantee you anything. You still have to go out and compete and play well. But being at home obviously helps.”
Story said he’s motivated by the 30-point defeat and believes the change of venue will help the Wolf Pack.
“Knowing we got a home crowd,” he said. “We don’t have to travel. We don’t have to see a bunch of purple, we get to see blue so that’s a lot better.”
When asked to describe the Huskies Story said: “They’re a good team. They’re well coached. They run their sets. They run their fast break and do everything that they’re supposed to do. … They’re a great team and I’m excited to play them.”
And Burton said Nevada needs to work on limiting turnovers and defense.
“It’s tough playing them at their house and we have to make it tough for them playing at our house,” he said. “It will feel way better knowing that the crowd is on our side.”
