Aziz N’Diaye questionable for Friday

Washington junior center Aziz N’Diaye is questionable for Friday’s game against UC Santa Barbara after spraining his right knee in Saturday’s 86-80 defeat against Duke.
“He does not have a torn ligament (and) it’s more of a sprain,” coach Lorenzo Romar said. “He’s very questionable for Friday, but he will be returning. We don’t know when he’ll be returning. I would think at the very latest our conference opener.
“The way it sounds, is he’ll probably return before then. We’re just not sure.”
N’Diaye underwent an MRI exam that didn’t reveal serious structural damage. He tore ligaments in the same knee and missed the 2009-10 season at the College of Southern Idaho.
N’Diaye, a 7-foot center, has started every game this season. He’s second in the Pac-12 with a 8.8 rebounding average. He also averages 7.1 points per game.
Romar was unsure who would replace N’Diaye if he’s unavailable. A few big man options include: redshirt freshman Desmond Simmons, freshman forward Shawn Kemp Jr. and Martin Breunig.
There’s also a chance the Huskies roll out a four-guard lineup that played the second half against Duke.
