Pac-12 Power Rankings: Week 7 and Wednesday links

Times reporter Bud Withers did a great job in today’s paper of previewing the Pac-12 men’s basketball conference, which tips off tomorrow.
Here’s a link to his preview.
In lieu of our weekly Power Rankings, we’ll go with Bud’s list this week:
1. California, 2. Arizona, 3. Stanford, 4. Washington, 5. Oregon State, 6. UCLA, 7. Oregon, 8. Washington State, 9, Colorado, 10. Arizona State, 11. USC and 12. Utah.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
— Had a chance to speak to Oregon State coach Craig Robinson and star junior Jared Cunningham for a story on the resurgent Beavers in today’s newspaper.
Robinson on Washington: “I see two flat-out pros in (Tony) Wroten and (Terrence) Ross. I see a guy who was expected to be a pro before his knee problems in (Abdul) Gaddy. And then I see Aziz N’Diaye who is probably going to be on somebody’s roster in the pros. So I see a dangerous team that we have to prepare and play our best in order to win this game at their place.”
— The Corvallis Gazette-Times also has a story today on the mighty Beavers.
— And here’s a take on OSU from the Register-Guard.
— More thoughts on the Pac-12 race from Bud and Jeff Faraduo at the Mercury News.
Washington’s game notes with a projected starting lineup.
— The News Tribune talked to N’Diaye who said he’s ready to go for Thursday’s game.
— Freshman guard Tony Wroten Jr. spoke to Kevin Calabro and Jim Moore at 710 AM ESPN. Here’s a link and Wroten’s interview begins at the 34:30 minute mark.
— USC coach Kevin O’Neill’s answer to the Trojans’ offensive woes is better defense.
— SB Nation ranks the 25 greatest sportscasting moments in 2011 and sure enough they included Gus Johnson and Isaiah Thomas. I won’t make you watch the entire thing to find the Cold Blooded clip. It chimes in at No. 2.
— And finally, stay tuned for a new Pac-12 men’s basketball contest on the blog and Seattle Times website.
