ASU’s Trent Lockett questionable

While it’s uncertain if Washington guard C.J. Wilcox will return Thursday, Arizona State is still unsure junior guard Trent Lockett will be available.
ASU’s leading scorer and rebounder rolled his right ankle Jan. 14 and has missed the past two games. He was expected to miss 10 days at the time of the injury.
“We do not have an update other than he is making progress,” ASU coach Herb Sendek said this morning. “We do not know if he’ll be available for us on Thursday yet or not.”
Lockett averages 13.9 points and 6.4 rebounds. He took over the point guard duties, when the Sun Devils dismissed Keala King, the second-leading scorer, on Jan. 8.
“We don’t have any one player who can be expected go into a phone booth and become Trent,” Sendek said. “We all have to carry an extra bucket of water collectively. Trent basically leads us in almost every statistical category. He’s having an outstanding junior year.”
Junior Chris Colvin, a transfer from Iowa State, has taken over at point guard and junior wing Carrick Felix led ASU in scoring the past two games, including a 64-43 loss at Utah.
