Pac-12 Player of the Week: Justin Cobbs

California’s Justin Cobbs won the Pac-12 Player of the Week award.
The Golden Bears sophomore guard averaged 19.0 points on 16-for-26 (.615) field goal shooting, 10.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in a home sweep against the Oregon schools. He also went 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Cobbs scored a career-high 28 points on 13-for-29 shooting (.684) in an 86-83 win over Oregon. He also had eight assists, three rebounds and tied his personal best with four steals.
During a 77-33 victory over Oregon State, Cobbs finished with a career high 13 assists while scoring 10 points for the second double double of his career. The 13 assists are the most in school history since Jason Kidd did it in 1994. Cobbs also collected five rebounds.
It’s the first time he’s won the POW award and the first time a Cal player has been recognized this season.
