Gotta make this quick due to the early start. Thursday’s winner in the Guess the UW Score contest was justinholidaycanplay who predicted the Huskies would win 78-58. Final score: 80-58.
Good job. And congrats for becoming the first three-time winner this season and taking sole possession on top of the leader board. There’s a three-way tie at second.
Big day so let’s get it started.
TODAY’S PAC-12 SCHEDULE:

Picks: Colorado, Oregon and WSU
AND THE UW-UCLA WINNER IS …
The Huskies 72-67.
Las Vegas made UCLA the favorite and believes the Bruins will win by that score. It would hardly be a surprise considering the they quite honestly should have won the first game. UCLA had a 10 point lead in the final six minutes before it did silly things like send the Huskies to the line on three possessions.
The Bruins went cold from the field and failed to score for 4 1/2 minutes while UW finished the game on a 16-4 run to claim a 71-69 comeback victory.
Maybe the Huskies got lucky that night. Or maybe they discovered how to win in the clutch just as they did at Washington State. Whatever the reason, it seems silly to step in front of UW bandwagon at this point.
It’s reasonable to think the Huskies are prime for a let down after winning five straight games.
But this team has been charmed lately. Washington is playing for an outright Pac-12 title on national television while UCLA is seeking to wrap up fifth place.
Momentum and motivation should be enough to carry the Huskies to a narrow win.
