Washington State tries to bring home a title

Who would have thought Washington State, which finished tied for eighth in the Pac-12, would be the last team in the conference to play.
The season ends today for the league as the Cougars take on Pittsburgh in the third and final game of the College Basketball Invitational. Both teams won at home in the best-of-three series and the Panthers host the decisive game at 4 p.m.
Washington State is without leading scorer Brock Motum, who sprained his ankle two minutes into the semifinals win at Oregon State.
It’s uncertain if Pitt will be at full strength as well. Leading scorer Ashton Gibbs sat out Wednesday with a sprained ankle and is questionable for the season finale.
