Perris Blackwell says he’s bulked up

Washington’s newest addition Perris Blackwell talked to KJR AM radio this morning and the 6-9 forward said he’s bulked up 20 pounds to 260.
The interview is below.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
— Terrific piece by ESPN’s Dana O’Neil who illustrates the NCAA is raising the academic requirements for Division I starting in 2015 and getting tougher on junior-college transfers in 2013.
— Arizona has a scholarship remaining and is reportedly seeking a point guard, however the Wildcats invited Jacob Hazzard, a 5-11, 150-pound shooting guard, to walk on next season. He’s the grandson of former UCLA coach Walt Hazzard.
— UCLA will play a non-conference game against Texas on Dec. 8 inside Houston’s Reliant Stadium.
— Colorado senior Carlon Brown played well last week at the Portsmouth Invitational.
— Former UW star Isaiah Thomas said it was difficult to leave the Huskies, but “felt like it was my time to go and I was ready.”
— Not Pac-12 related, but insightful story on the hypocrisy of the NCAA and the lunacy of its transfer rules.
