Anthony Bennett drops Washington

Washington chances at landing a marquee 2012 recruit appear to be over after Anthony Bennett, the five-star forward from Canada, nixed the Huskies from his list.
According to Adam Zagoria, Bennett’s final four includes Oregon, Kentucky, Florida and UNLV.
The Huskies were always a long shot to land the 6-8, 230-pounder who played at Findlay Prep in Nevada. He’s considered a top 10 prospect by the major recruiting services.
Oregon’s chances at nabbing Bennett aren’t great, however, the Ducks signed his former teammate Dominic Artis.
Washington signed wing Mark McLaughlin and power forward/center Perris Blackwell, who will sit out next season. The Huskies have a scholarship remaining and reportedly are considering William Howard, a 6-8 forward from France who is New Hope Academy in Maryland.
