Ross, Wroten pre-draft workout videos

Former Washington stars Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten Jr. are entering the final stages of their preparations before beginning their NBA auditions. The evaluation season begins in earnest June 7-8 with the NBA combine. Both have been invited to attend.
Wroten is working out with former UW stars Will Conroy and Brandon Roy. In this video, he gives a glimpse of his training regime, which includes running hills.
Meanwhile Ross is putting in plenty of work on the court. In this video, he displays his shooting ability, which UW fans will miss.
He also gives a pair of interviews. He talks about wanting to prove he can get to the basket and create his own shot. Ross said he trains three times daily and believes the 2011-12 UW team didn’t mature quick enough.
TUESDAY MORNING LINKS:
— Washington coach Lorenzo Romar will speak at a silent auction/fundraiser at Floral Hall at Forest Park on Wednesday to benefit the South Everett/Mukilteo Boys & Girls Club.
— Connecticut lost forward Roscoe Smith – the fifth player to leave the program – which weakens the Huskies and perhaps softens them up for their Dec. 29 game against Washington. The 6-8 sophomore transferred to UNLV. However, a weakened UConn squad also waters down a potential win for UW.
Reeves Nelson is suing Sports Illustrated and reporter George Dohrmann for $20 million in a lawsuit that says the former UCLA forward was portrayed inaccurately in a story about the troubles surrounding the Bruins program. Reeves has obtained 18 signed declarations from current or former UCLA players who refute accounts in Dohrmann’s story about his alleged bad behavior.
