Pac-12 preseason basketball prospectus

The Pac-12 released its 2012-13 preseason men’s basketball prospectus.
There’s plenty of useful information in the package including a tentative look at Washington’s full schedule. The school has only released the non-conference schedule, but the prospectus gives a detailed look at the league schedule.
Due to the 18-game unbalanced Pac-12 schedule, UW does not play at Colorado and Utah and it will not host California and Stanford.
Here’s a look at the games that will be absent from the schedule:
Travel Partners ….. Home Misses ….. Road Misses
ARIZ, ASU ….. ORE, OSU ….. CAL, STAN
CAL, STAN ….. ARIZ, ASU ….. WASH, WSU
COLO, UTAH ….. WASH, WSU ….. UCLA, USC
ORE, OSU ….. UCLA, USC ….. ARIZ, ASU
UCLA, USC ….. COLO, UTAH ….. ORE, OSU
WASH, WSU ….. CAL, STAN ….. COLO, UTAH
The Huskies begin the conference with three road games. In fact, five of the first seven and seven of the first 11 Pac-12 games are away from Edmundson Pavilion.
It’s interesting to note Washington is tied with three teams with the fewest returning starters (2).
Pac-12 Media Day is Nov. 1 and its moved to the conference’s network studios in San Francisco and will not be in Los Angeles where it has been for years.
SUNDAY LINKS:
Steve Kelley caught up with former UW standout Tony Wroten Jr. in Las Vegas at the NBA Summer League and the Memphis rookie said he’s working with Grizzlies assistant Henry Bibby to improve his jump shot.
