UW target Aaron Gordon schedules visits

Mark your calendars because Sept. 29 is shaping up to be a big weekend for the Huskies.
According to reports, Aaron Gordon and Jabari Bird, who are being recruited by Washington, will visit Montlake next month in what could be the most important recruiting visit for the team in recent years.
Matt Prehm at 247sports.com caught up with Bird who gave the scoop on his travel plans with Gordon. They’re going to visit California on Sept. 1 and take a trip to Colorado on Sept. 8.
Bird, who also plans to visit Oregon on Sept. 22, has trimmed his list of schools to four.
Meanwhile Gordon hasn’t been as openly decisive about the recruiting process. Reportedly he’s interested in as many as nine schools including: UW, Cal, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico, Stanford, Kentucky and Kansas.
Gordon, 6-7 forward from San Jose, Calif., and Bird, a 6-6 guard from Richmond, Calif., are consensus five-star recruits, according to the major recruiting sites. Gordon ranks sixth nationally by ESPN while Bird is 20th. Rivals ranks them fifth and 18th respectively.
