Angus Brandt big for OSU during foreign trip

Angus Brandt had himself a whale of time in Europe the past week while leading Oregon State to a 4-0 record.
The senior center averaged 15.8 points and 8.8 rebounds, both team highs. Meanwhile the Beavers were never seriously challenged in the exhibition games – at least not on the scoreboard.
Brandt finished the trip with 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting and OSU cruised to an easy 89-73 win over Real Canoe in Madrid, Spain.
Junior guard Roberto Nelson finished with 12 points. He averaged 15 points along with junior forward Devon Collier.
MONDAY AFTERNOON NOTES:
— Washington is hosting a public reception 1:30 p.m. Thursday honoring former usher George Hickman who passed away Aug. 19.
— Former Washington great Nate Robinson will be at the University Village Microsoft store 10 p.m. tonight for the launch of Madden 13.
