Decision day arrives early for Jabari Bird

After taking an official visit to California a few days ago, Jabari Bird is canceling trips to Colorado (Sept. 8), Oregon (Sept. 22) and Washington (Sept. 29) and will make his college decision Wednesday.
The 6-6, 190-pound shooting guard is a consensus five-star prospect, according to the major recruiting sites.
Bird has said for weeks, his top two schools are Cal and UW and it appears as if he’s going to choose the Golden Bears because he stopped the recruiting process earlier than expected.
His father Carl Bird also played at Cal before being selected in the fifth round of the 1976 NBA draft.
“Pretty much everybody has a general idea where I’m going,” Bird told the Mercury News Tuesday night. “They’d probably be right.”
