Washington’s foreign trip ends in rainout

Storms pounded Dakar, Senegal and a slippery floor at Marius N’Diaye Stadium forced Washington to cancel its exhibition against Dakar University Club.
The Huskies fly to Paris on Saturday and return home Sunday afternoon with a 3-3 record on a tour against professional teams in Spain, France and Monaco.
Senior guard Abdul Gaddy led UW in scoring with a 13.5 scoring average. He scored in double figures in the first five games and tallied 19 points in Game 5. Gaddy also sank a half-court shot in the second game and appears to be one of the Huskies who made the serious strides overseas.
The other big surprises were redshirt freshman Andrew Andrews who averaged 8.7 points – fourth on the team – and sophomore Martin Breunig who started the last two games and averaged 2.3 points on the trip.
Scott Suggs averaged 13.3 points and C.J. Wilcox averaged 13.2.
Here’s the rest of the UW’s scoring averages: Aziz N’Diaye (6.3), Desmond Simmons (5.5), Shawn Kemp Jr. (2.2), Hikeem Stewart (0.8) and Quinn Sterling (0.7).
And here’s a photo gallery of the Huskies in Dakar.
