Lorenzo Romar visits Aaron Gordon

Big day for coach Lorenzo Romar, who will reportedly take a trip to San Jose and meet with Aaron Gordon, who is probably the No. 1 prospect on Washington’s list.
It remains to be seen if the Huskies are at the top of Gordon’s list. For months, he’s favored UW over suitors that include Arizona, Oregon, California, Kentucky and Kansas.
But after a visit from Arizona’s Sean Miller Gordon told PointGuardU.com: “I don’t have a leader right now. Arizona, Oregon, and Washington are all on equal ground. Those schools have been recruiting me forever, and it wouldn’t be fair to say one is above the other. Kentucky and Kansas are recruiting me too, but I haven’t known the coaches for as long, which is why the other three stand out.”
Gordon was also impressed with Miller’s presentation.
“They showed me some graphics about their style of play and how their teams have done in the past,” he said in an interview with PointGuardU.com. “They also showed me footage of former players that were similar to how I could be used. It was exciting to think about being in that system.”
Gordon’s recruitment hasn’t varied a whole lot. He appears to have lost interest in Colorado and is curious about Kansas although the Jayhawks are likely a long shot.
Gordon took an unofficial trip to Cal on Sept. 1. He’s scheduled to make official visits to UW (Sept. 29), Oregon (Oct. 5), Kansas (Oct. 12) and Arizona (Oct. 21).
He’s also hosted Miller and Kentucky’s John Calipari. After Romar’s visit, Kansas’ Bill Self will make a trip to Gordon’s home on Sept. 25.
