Washington adds Edmonds CC transfer

Dion Overstreet, who played at Edmonds Community College last season, is transferring to Washington.
Here’s a look at his UW bio. He will wear No. 14 with the Huskies.
Overstreet, a 5-9 junior guard, has had big scoring performances at Edmonds CC. He scored 42 points and had seven three-pointers in an 84-80 win over Shoreline CC.
Overstreet was an unheralded prospect who graduated from Venice High in California in 2006. He’s also appeared in several television shows and began acting at 7.
Washington has 15 players on the roster. However, there’s only 10 players on scholarship who are eligible to play this season.
Transfers Perris Blackwell and Gilles Dierickx will sit out this season. Overstreet is believed to be UW’s second walk-on joining Quinn Sterling although there’s been no official word from the school. And Austin Seferian-Jenkins, a standout tight end, has not said if he’ll return to the basketball team.
The NCAA allows Division I teams 13 scholarships.
