Colorado nabs Tacoma standout

Lincoln High’s Tre’Shaun Lexing gave a verbal commitment to play at Colorado on Saturday during his recruiting trip with the Buffaloes.
The 6-5, 195-pound wing is considered a three-star prospect, according to ESPN, Rivals and Scout. He averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and four assists last season as a junior and chose CU after taking official visits to Washington State and Arizona State.
Lexing is the third recruit to commit to Colorado joining guard Jaron Hopkins and forward Dustin Thomas.
SUNDAY MORNING NOTES AND LINKS:
— Washington hosted targets Aaron Gordon, Darin Johnson and Nigel Williams-Goss who were on hand to watch the volleyball team trounce USC on Friday night. It looked as if Abdul Gaddy, Desmond Simmons and Andrew Andrews were their hosts. I’m almost certain they were not at Thursday’s football game due to a NCAA rule that allows recruits to be on campus for roughly 48 hours.
According to Jason Jordan at USA Today, Gordon is enjoying his trip to UW. Meanwhile Williams-Goss tweeted a photo of Seattle’s skyline.
— Thanks to a new California law, the Pac-12 is the only conference that will be forced to financially protect players who suffer career-ending injuries.
