— Dampening the enthusiasm at UCLA is the NCAA investigation into freshmen Shabazz Muhammad and Kyle Anderson who have not been ruled eligible.
— California coach Mike Montgomery is asking the same questions as Romar, who takes over at the end of the game? “It’s the end of the game thing,” Montgomery told Jeff Faraudo at the San Jose Mercury News. “Who wins it for you at the end?
