C.J. Wilcox makes HOF all-tourney team

C.J. Wilcox left a lasting impression on the media who covered the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament this weekend.
The Washington junior guard had rather pedestrian performances in the first two games and started slowly in the championship game, a 77-66 defeat to No. 3 Ohio State.
However, Wilcox finished with 18 points and was named to the Naismith bracket all-tournament team.
He averaged 13.3 points and converted 15 of 37 (40.5) percent field goals. He was also 5 of 18 (27 percent) on three pointers.
Other all-tournament picks in the Naismith bracket include: Ohio State’s Deshaun Thomas (MVP) and Aaron Craft Seton Hall’s Fuquan Edwin and Rhode Island’s Mike Powell.
The Springfield bracket all-tournament team includes: Loyola Maryland’s Erik Etherly (MVP) and Dylon Cormier; Albany’s Jacob Iati and Mike Black and UMKC’s Estan Tyler.
