Pac-12 Player of the Week: Askia Booker

Colorado sophomore guard Askia Booker won the Pac-12 Player of the Week award after winning MVP honors at the Charleston Classic and leading the Buffaloes to three wins and a tournament title.
He averaged 19.3 points, 3.0 assists, 2.7 steals and 2.3 rebounds and shot 51.1 percent from the field (24-of-47) during the tourney.
Booker saved his best for last. He scored a career-high 23 points in the championship game, an 81-74 win over Murray State. He also had a career-tying best four steals and two assists.
Booker scored a game-high 16 points along with four rebounds and four assists in the first game of the tournament, a 67-57 win over Dayton.
In the semifinals, a 60-58 win over then-No. 16 Baylor, he had a game-high 19 points with three assists and three steals.
Washington’s Abdul Gaddy was nominated this week. Others include: Arizona’s Solomon Hill, California’s Allen Crabbe, Oregon’s E.J. Singler, Oregon State’s Devon Collier, Stanford’s Josh Huestis and UCLA’s Jordan Adams.
