Colorado State live game thread

IT’S OVER — Washington falls 73-55.
HARD SPILL — Wilcox was knocked to the floor and got up holding his backside. Looks like he landed on his tail bone. He has a career-high 28 points. CSU 71-53, 1:01.
NO GADDY — Gaddy hasn’t played much lately. Not sure why. He looks fine. Maybe Romar is sending a message. He has three fouls, but the Huskies need their best players on the floor. CSU 69-51, 1:42.
NO OVER, BUT … — The Huskies are going to lose this game. It’s just a matter of how many points they’ll lose by and if they’ll continue to fight. CSU 69-49, 2:29.
WILCOX OR BUST — Wilcox has a game-high 26 points. No other Husky has more than Gaddy’s nine. Fans are starting to leave. CSU 64-49, 4:40.
WOEFUL SHOOTING — The Huskies are 4 of 9 at the line. Gaddy barely grazed the front rim on his last attempt. CSU 54-44, 8:03.
FOUL TROUBLE — Iverson has three fouls. CSU 47-42, 10:52.
UPSET ALERT — N’Diaye hit 1 of 2 FTs to snap a 15-0 run by the Rams. On the other end he rejected a shot at the rim that got the crowd excited. CSU 47-39, 11:51.
TROUBLE — Green sank a three-pointer. Wilcox missed an alley-oop dunk. CSU 42-38, 13:34.
LOW TURNOUT — It will be interesting to see what the official numbers are tonight. The Dawg Pack is half full. So is the building. Blame the Thanksgiving weekend I guess. UW 38-37, 14:53.
EARLY TIMEOUT — CSU coach Larry Eustachy called timeout after Wilcox drove for a layup to put UW ahead 38-32 with 17:05 left. It’s the largest lead of the game.
NICE COMBINATION — Simmons threw a pass to N’Diaye on the baseline and the big fella flushed a dunk. Iverson is doing everything he can to draw a third foul on N’Diaye. UW 36-32, 17:20.
SECOND HALF — Same starters.
HALFTIME OBSERVATIONS — The Huskies are essentially a two-man offensive attack with Wilcox (13 points) and Gaddy (nine). No one else has made more than one basket. Wow. That’s incredible. Andrews is trying, but he’s 0 of 4. No one else has taken more than two shots. You could argue that’s a good thing, but the offense needs to diversify. Gaddy has to create easy shots for others. It’s great that he’s scoring, but he has just one assist. UW has just six assists.
Washington’s other problem is keeping CSU off the offensive glass. The Rams lead the rebounding battle 23-15. They have 13 offensive rebounds, which is a ridiculous number.
HALFTIME STATS — Click here.
HALFTIME — UW 30-28.

TIRED LEGS — The Huskies are gassed, which explains why the offense looks so ragged. Wilcox is huffing and puffing and doesn’t have the energy to initiate the offense. Same goes for Gaddy. Good time for Andrews to momentarily take over. UW 30-28, 34 seconds.
FRAGMENTED — The Huskies just look out of sorts. Gaddy and Wilcox are the only offensive weapons. Everyone else looks tentative with the ball. They’re not looking for N’Diaye down low because Iverson is providing good defense. On the defensive end, the Huskies just aren’t rebounding and they’re allowing way too many second-chance points. UW 25-24, 3:41.
STEWART — Hikeem Stewart is in and it looks like he’ll finish out the first half.
GREEN LIGHT — Wilcox has 11 points and he’s 5 of 9 from the floor. Without Suggs, he’ll have to take more of a load on the offensive end. His career high is 25 points. That could be erased tonight. UW 20-19, 5:52.
ALL GOOD — N’Diaye is back in and is on the floor with JJ. Breunig is out. The Huskies forced three straight turnovers. N’Diaye hit 1 of 2 FTs, which were the first shots at the line. UW 18-16, 8:03.
PANIC TIME? — JJ replaced N’Diaye. Jarreau is checking Colton Iverson, CSU’s best player. JJ hit a mid-range jumper, but on the next possession he threw the ball into the stands. The Huskies have an odd lineup of JJ, Andrews, Gaddy, Simmons and Breunig. UW 14-14, 11:20.
FIRST SUBS — Andrew Andrews and Martin Breunig are in for Simmons and Jarreau. UW 10-10, 14:13.
SPIN CYCLE — Gaddy used a beautiful spin to swivel around Wes Eikmeier on the right wing before lofting a layup over Greg Smith. Sweet play that’s sure to make the highlights. UW 6-4, 16:50.
REBOUND — Looks like rebounding is going to be a problem. The Huskies are being outrebounded 6-2. UW 4-4.
NO SUGGS — Senior guard Scott Suggs is out due to plantar fasciitis. Desmond Simmons is starting in his place. The other UW starters are Abdul Gaddy, C.J. Wilcox, Aziz N’Diaye and Jernard Jarreau.
