Sunday links: UCLA’s Lamb will transfer

It appears as if UCLA’s youth movement spurred guard Tyler Lamb to seek his release and transfer to another school.
The 6-foot-5 junior, played in all 33 games last season and started 32. He averaged 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 31.4 minutes. He was second on the team with 43 three-pointers.
He also played in all 34 games as a freshman and averaged 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game through 67 games in his career.
Lamb had surgery to repair cartilage in his knee just before this season. He played in the season opener, but experienced swelling and hasn’t played since.
In many ways coach Ben Howland has turned the team over to a talented group of freshmen including guards Jordan Adams, Shabazz Muhammad and forward Kyle Anderson. Newcomer Larry Drew II is also starting at point guard for No. 11 UCLA.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
