Live chat with WSU coach Ken Bone

We’ll take a break from Washington-oriented news and chat with Washington State coach Ken Bone at 1:30 p.m. today.

WSU visits Seattle on Friday in the Cougar Hardwood Classic to take on Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. inside KeyArena. It’s the second to last non-conference tuneup for the Cougars (they play Idaho State on Dec. 29) before hosting the Huskies Jan. 5 in the Pac-12 opener for both teams.

After a 2-3 start that included narrow defeats at Pepperdine (58-56 in overtime) and against Texas A&M (55-54), Washington State has won five of the past six games. The Cougars nearly upset Gonzaga, but fell 71-69 at home on Dec. 5.

In many ways, Washington State (7-4) is seven points away from 10-1 record and conceivably a top-25 ranking.
