Pac-12 Player of the Week: Eric Moreland
After posting double doubles in two games, Oregon State forward Eric Moreland was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week.
It’s the second time a Beavers player has won the award. OSU guard Ahmad Starks won on Nov. 12.
Moreland had 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-53 win over Howard. He converted 5 of 9 shots (55.6 percent) and was 4 of 5 at the free throw line.
In his last outing, the 6-10 sophomore scored a career-high 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Oregon State to an 86-79 victory over San Diego. He shot 87.5 percent from the field (7 of 9) and went five of seven from the line. He also blocked three shots.
Washington nominated C.J. Wilcox. Others nominated include: Arizona’s Mark Lyons, California’s Allen Crabbe, Colorado’s Spencer Dinwiddie, Oregon’s Damyean Dotson, Stanford’s Josh Huestis and Washington State’s DaVonté Lacy.
