Report: Five-team chase for Kameron Rooks
Kameron Rooks is getting close to choosing a school.
The 7-foot, 270-pound center from San Marcos, Calif. has offers from Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, California and Connecticut. He’s taken visits to each school.
Rivals.com caught up with the big man Wednesday at the star-studded Torrey Pines Holiday Classic. The tournament includes Darin Johnson, a shooting guard at Sacramento’s Sheldon High who signed with the Huskies.
When asked about Washington, Rooks said: “It’s a lot colder there. I really liked coach Lorenzo (Romar) — he was the one who was showing me around the place, other than just assistant coaches. It was cool.”
Rooks indicated he could make a decision next week.
