Pac-12 improves against ranked non-conference teams
Shabazz Muhammad and Travis Wear each scored a career high and came up big in the final minutes to lead UCLA to a 97-94 win in overtime over No. 7 Missouri on Friday at Pauley Pavilion.
Muhammad finished with 27 points, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:01 left. Wear had 22 points, including a short jumper to cap the scoring. The Bruins (10-3) survived two last-second three-pointers run their winning streak to five in a row.
Jordan Adams added 12 points, including a driving layup to force overtime. Larry Drew II had 10 assists and David Wear chipped in 16 points off the bench.
The Pac-12 is 5-15 against non-conference ranked teams, including wins in three of the past five matchups.
