Bill Walton begins Pac-12 bus tour

The Washington Huskies had a chance to spend time with UCLA great Bill Walton this morning at shootaround. The Hall of Famer will call tonight’s UW-California game on ESPN2.

Here’s a link to a pretty funny exchange between Walton, Abdul Gaddy and C.J. Wilcox.

Walton also begins a nine-school bus tour Friday in which he’ll engage with students and tell stories from his 13-year NBA career and his college experiences at UCLA. No doubt Walton will tell a story or two about his mentor, legendary Bruins coach John Wooden.

In a statement released by the Pac-12, Walton said: “I am coming to nine Pac-12 schools by bus to share the dream, to spread the love, and to provide the help on the way that we are all sure to need. There are no rules or limits, other than to be on time and to come with an open mind and a caring soul.”

Walton makes a stop at Washington on Feb. 13.

The speaking tour begins Friday in Oregon. Click here for schedule and more details.
