IT’S OVER — UW 64-54.

REALLY IN IT NOW — Old Hec Ed is returning in terms of the noise. Fans are on their feet after Wilcox drained a mid-range jumper. UW 48-38, 7:12.

LARGEST LEAD — Andrews hit Wilcox for a three. UW 37-27, 12:44.

SLOW START — The Huskies haven’t scored in their first six possessions. UW 28-22, 16:32.

SECOND HALF — Same starters for both teams.

HALFTIME OBSERVATIONS — Good Washington defense or bad Colorado offense? Let’s go with the former considering the Huskies held California to 20 first-half points last week. Washington is pretty doggone good on the defensive end. CU is 0 for 4 on three-pointers and nobody has had many open looks. It’s the fewest points in a half for Colorado.

Colorado has made three-pointers in 347 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 19, 2002. The Buffs are 0-4 from downtown.

Colorado is 7 of 24 (29.2 percent) from the field. The Huskies are only slightly better at 36.4 percent (12 of 33).

Meanwhile, the Huskies have done just enough to free Wilcox on screen and pindowns for 11 points. He’s 4 of 7 from the field.

Simmons and N’Diaye are also making an impact with seven and four rebounds respectively.

Washington has committed just three turnovers, CU seven.

HALFTIME STATS — Click here.

HALFTIME — UW 28-20.

GOOD DECISION — Andrews got the ball and had a small opening to launch a three-pointer. He made the smart move and passed the ball. After a few passes, Suggs got the same look from the same spot and drained a trey. UW 26-18, 48 seconds.

HELP — Gotta love the help defense. Simmons attempted a steal, but slipped and fell leaving his guy momentarily open. N’Diaye and Wilcox provided help and knocked the ball out of bounds, which prevented a layup. UW 23-17, 4:45.

COLORADO TIMEOUT — Nice sequence of events for the Huskies. First N’Diaye scores on a difficult layup. At the other end, Simmons keeps alive a rebound that goes to Andrews who sank a mid-range jumper. Boyle didn’t want to wait for the under 8-minute timeout on the next stoppage and put a halt to the action to talk to the Buffs. UW 21-17, 6:20.

BLOCK PARTY — N’Diaye rejected Booker’s layup. That’s two for the big fella. UW 17-15, 9:21.

ON CUE — After the timeout, another good play for Wilcox who rubs off a screen and drains a trey at the top of the key. UW 16-12, 11:05.

THIRD SUB — Jernard Jarreau replaces Kemp. UW 13-12, 11:30.

MEDIA TIMEOUT — Good game. The Huskies held the Buffs scoreless on six straight possessions before Dinwiddie made a short jumper. Roberson has scored two baskets and UW is up 13-10 with 13:10 left. The Huskies could use a shot from Wilcox.

SECOND SUB — Shawn Kemp Jr. is in for N’Diaye. UW 11-4, 13:50.

FIRST SUB — Andrew Andrews is in for Gaddy. UW 11-4, 14:07.

GETTING LOUD — Gotta give it up to the Dawg Pack. They’re into this one. They’re yelling during a timeout at the CU bench. I’m sure that’s distracting for the Buffs.

GOOD START — Not sure Romar has even stood up yet. He hasn’t had to. The Huskies are really playing well. They’re 4 of 6 from the field. UW 9-4, 16:11.

DON’T LET ME GETl INTO MY ZONE — Nice set play for the Huskies who curl Wiilcox off a baseline screen and drains a three. UW 3-0, 19:08.

NEW INTRO — UW players coming out of the tunnel for pre-game introductions. It’s a new thing. Adds a nice touch I guess.

FILLING UP — Not quite a sellout at Hec Ed, but easily the best crowd of the season. Plenty of buzz inside the arena.

OBLIGATORY HANDSHAKE — Coach Lorenzo Romar and CU coach Tad Boyle greeted each other with a big handshake and embrace at midcourt.

STARTING LINEUPS — Same starters for UW: Abdul Gaddy, C.J. Wilcox, Scott Suggs, Desmond Simmons and Aziz N’Diaye.

Colorado: F Andre Roberson, F Josh Scott, G Askia Booker, G Xavier Johnson and G Spencer Dinwiddie.

LIVELY¬† PRE-GAME — We’re about 20 minutes away from tip off and it’s a good buzz throughout the building. It should be a good crowd.

WAKE UP!!! — Had a double shot of a mocha mexicano so I’m good. Ready for a long night. Should be a good one.
