Making sense of my AP ballot

Here’s the top 25 ballot I emailed to the Associated Press this morning.

No. 1 Duke (21-2)

No. 2 Michigan (21-3)

No. 3 Indiana (21-3)

No. 4 Miami (19-3)

No. 5 Gonzaga (23-2)

No. 6 Syracuse (19-3)

No. 7 Michigan State (20-4)

No. 8 Kansas State (19-4)

No. 9 Florida (19-3)

No. 10 Arizona (20-3)

No. 11 Louisville (19-5)

No. 12 Kansas (19-4)

No. 13 Butler (20-4)

No. 14 Georgetown (17-4)

No. 15 Pittsburgh (20-5)

No. 16 Oklahoma State (17-5)

No. 17 Marquette (17-5)

No. 18 Ohio State (17-6)

No. 19 New Mexico (20-4)

No. 20 Notre Dame (19-5)

No. 21 Memphis (20-3)

No. 22 Kentucky (17-6)

No. 23 Colorado State (19-4)

No. 24 Belmont (20-5)

No. 25 Oregon (19-5)

NOTE – Does anybody want to be No. 1? Apparently the title is too heavy for anyone to bear. For the fifth straight week, there’s a different team on top of my ballot. I’m guessing Duke will be the new No. 1 this morning. It will be curious to see if Oregon remains in the top 25 after a home defeat to Colorado. I added Pittsburgh, Memphis, Colorado State and Belmont to my ballot. Also dropped Creighton, Cincinnati, Minnesota and Missouri.
