Can Washington go on a 7-0 run?

The Huskies believe they have to win their remaining seven games to have any chance of earning an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. It seems like a tall order for a team that’s lost six of their past six games.

But in order to go 7-0, you have to win the first one and that starts 8 p.m. tonight when No. 23 Oregon visits Alaska Airlines Arena.

AROUND THE PAC-12:

— Oregon point guard Johnathan Loyd who is filling in for injured Dominic Artis is trying to remain confident during a shooting slump. Since taking over, he’s converted 6 of 28 shots in the past five games. He has 16 assists and 12 turnovers.

— Artis, who has a foot injury, is doubtful.

— The Ducks collected 21 turnovers from Washington during their 81-76 win nearly three weeks ago at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon will try to rely on its press and multiple defenses to force the Huskies into mistakes.

— Arizona State is making a run at a NCAA tourney berth, but poor free-throw shooting threatens to trip up the Sun Devils. ASU shoots 62.1 percent, which ranks 330th among 347 DivisionI teams.

— Oregon State may be getting a new logo from Nike. However, the school and Nike aren’t willing to confirm anything.

— USC’s Ari Stewart broke his thumb Sunday against Washington and will miss the next three weeks.
