AND HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT:

— The 23rd-ranked Oregon Ducks had a chance to put some distance between themselves and No. 12 Arizona on Thursday night, but fell 48-46 to California when guard Justin Cobbs hit a game-winning 17-footer with 0.7 seconds remaining. Cobbs told the Mercury News: “I just felt if I got the ball in the right spot, I’d be able to knock it down.” It Oregon’s 11th straight defeat to Cal. Here’s highlights from the game.

— Without injured freshman forward Josh Scott (concussion), Colorado managed to dust off Utah 60-50 for its fourth win in the past five games. The Utes were undone by turnovers.

Josh Huestis scored 20 points to lead Stanford to an 82-72 win at Oregon State. Dwight Powell added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Cardinal. Beavers coach Craig Robinson told the Gazette-Times: “I’m supremely disappointed in the way it came about because I thought it came down to rebounding and toughness, something we typically do pretty well.”
