Guess the UW Score — Arizona State
It took awhile, but we finally had our first perfect prediction in the Guess the UW Score contest.
Washington may have lost 70-52 at Arizona on Wednesday, but seaute was the big winner after nailing the exact score. Fantastic job.
Just a few home games remaining so contact me via email (pallen@seattletimes.com) or twitter to collect your prize.
Alright, let’s move on.
TODAY’S PAC-12 SCHEDULE (all times Pacific):
No. 12 Arizona beat Washington State 73-56
California (17-9, 9-5) at Oregon State (13-14, 3-11), 3 p.m. ……………… P12N
Stanford (16-11, 7-7) at No. 23 Oregon (21-6, 10-4), 5 p.m. …………….. P12N
Washington (14-13, 6-8) at Arizona State (20-7, 9-5), 8 p.m. ………….. ESPNU
AND THE UW-ASU WINNER IS …
The Sun Devils 74-62.
Washington is a 5-point underdog, which seems a little generous considering the Huskies are 2-8 in the past 10 games.
UW beat ASU 96-92 in their first meeting, but that high-scoring game is an outlier in a season in which the Huskies are averaging about 68 points.
Washington has two difficult tasks tonight. The Huskies must contain a dangerous ASU offense that features dynamic point guard Jahii Carson, wing Carrick Felix, three-point specialist Jonathan Gilling and 7-2 center Jordan Bachnyski. That’s a lot of weapons.
Washington must also find a way to score points on the road with or without leading C.J. Wilcox. The Huskies are 11-4 when he scores at least 18 points and 3-9 when he doesn’t.
