Guess the UW Score — Washington State
Early start today so let’s get to it.
Congrats to ScottsdaleDawg who won last week’s Guess the UW Score contest with a 68-65 prediction in favor of the Huskies. Washington prevailed 68-59 in an upset over Arizona State.
Nice job SD considering about half of the posters picked ASU to win.
Judging from your handle, I’m assuming you’re located in Scottsdale, Ariz. (I’m a genius) But if you’re around for any of the three remaining home games, please contact me via email (pallen@seattletimes.com) or twitter to collect your prize.
Alright, let’s move on.
TODAY’S PAC-12 SCHEDULE (all times Pacific):
Washington State (11-17, 2-13) at Washington (15-13, 7-8), 12:30 p.m. …………….. FSN/ROOT
Utah (11-16, 3-12) at Stanford (16-13, 7-9), 2 p.m. …………………………………………… P12N
AND THE UW-WSU WINNER IS ………..
The Huskies 62-59.
Not sure the week off will help the scoring. Not this season. And not these teams.
Washington and Washington State rank among the bottom four teams in the Pac-12 in scoring offense and field goal percentage. The Huskies are last in three-point percentage (.295) in league games, which was supposed to be their strength of the team.
Both teams are limping to the end of disappointing seasons. Washington is 3-8 in the past 11 games while WSU has an 8-game losing streak.
The Huskies are seven-point favorites.
