Nigel Williams-Goss’ busy week starts with three-point trophy

Incoming Washington freshman Nigel Williams-Goss takes the court at the McDonald’s All-American game tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the United Center. The game is being televised by ESPN.

He’s already had good week in Chicago that started Monday when he won the three-point shoot0ut contest.

Williams-Goss told reporters this week that he’s excited about joining the Huskies next season. He said he needs to work on his foot speed and strength.

Here’s a scouting report on each of the players in the McDonald’s game. This is what the website had to say about Williams-Goss:

Height, Weight: 6-3, 180
Position: Guard
High School: Findlay (Nev.) Prep
Number: 0
2012-13 stats: 18 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds
College: Washington
Fun fact: Oregon native volunteers with Meals on Wheels

And here’s a tweetpic from Williams-Goss at the game.

On Thursday, Williams-Goss will jump on an airplane to Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, Md. where he’ll lead Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) on it’s quest to repeat as national champions.

The top-ranked and 34-0 Pilots face No. 8 Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) at 3 p.m. PT in the National High School Invitational quarterfinals.  All quarterfinals will air on ESPNU.

Here’s a look at the bracket and a bio on Findlay Prep.
